We asked our Young Ambassadors to collect crayons for the Crayon Initiative and through all of her hard work, Sarah Keane was able to collect thousands of crayons that will be melted and given to hospitalized children.
On Sunday, January 13th, HLF officially welcomed the 4th class of Young Ambassadors, a group of 15 exceptional young men and women who were selected from applicants that sought positions in the program this past fall.
Ten members of the HLFYA Alumni Network gathered at HLF Community Partner NY Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital to deliver toys.

HLFYA Hailey Hamilton organized a book drive in her community to benefit Long Island Veteran Home, the volunteer department of Huntington Hospital & the Dolan Family Health Center
HLFYA Maryam Fokur completed her independent service project for the Foundation by selling snacks in her school
HLFYA Manuela George Independent Service Project collected clothes and raised $1500 for her local mobile food pantry, the Lighthouse Mission
HLFYA Emily Lattman independent service project raised $2100 in honor of her camp counselor
HLFYA Julia Huth totaled close to 1200 books in her yearly book drive for a school in Newark, NJ
