On Friday October 24th 2025, Keelin Child, a junior at Summit High School and a member of the Henrik Lundqvist Youth Ambassador Program, hosted a halloween themed fundraiser party. Kids from around town came to decorate pumpkins, play games, listen to music, and eat candy!

Instead of carving pumpkins the traditional way, the kids used paints, stickers, and all sorts of spooky decorations to decorate their pumpkins. From silly faces to sparkly monsters, each pumpkin became a one-of-a-kind Halloween masterpiece. In addition to the decorating, children enjoyed Halloween themed music, snacks, and even games like guess how many candy corn! The event brought together children and families from across the community for an afternoon of creativity, laughter, and festive fun.

Inspired by her mother, who suffered from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma nearly six years ago, Keelin donated the money she raised to Cycle For Survival, a foundation that raises money for rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering cancer center. In total, Keelin raised $500 thanks to the support of her friends, family, and neighbors!
