YOUNG AMBASSADOR
VIRTUAL PROGRAM EXPANSION

The Henrik Lundqvist Foundation (HLF) launched the HLFYA Virtual Program Expansion (VPE), a new division of the Young Ambassadors Program designed to connect youth across the United States, Canada, Sweden and beyond through community service, leadership development, and global connection.

Open to students ages 13–22, the VPE gives youth the opportunity to connect with like-minded peers around the world while developing skills that create meaningful change in their communities. Through the online platform, participants can track their service, share ideas, make their voices heard, participate in virtual experiences, and earn rewards along the way.

By joining the VPE, participants become part of HLF’s global mission to empower young people to create a positive and lasting change. Keep reading to learn more about the impact of our inaugural VPE Pilot!

30 registered Young Ambassadors, ages 13 to 23, from 11 states and provinces

The inaugural HLFYA Virtual Program Expansion Pilot was an incredible success, bringing together 30 Young Ambassadors from 11 states and provinces across two countries. Throughout the program, our Young Ambassadors demonstrated an incredible commitment to service, leadership, and making a difference in the communities around them.

Together, our 17 Young Ambassadors that graduated the program completed an impressive 243 hours of community service, donated over 2,397 items, and contributed $8,285 to organizations of their choice. In addition to their individual service efforts, some of our Young Ambassadors created and hosted three events benefiting individuals and families in their communities, turning their ideas into meaningful action. Their impact extended far beyond their own communities, creating a ripple effect that reached those in need in surrounding communities as well.

We could not be more proud of the dedication, compassion, and initiative shown by each of our VPE Young Ambassadors. The pilot may be complete, but the impact is just beginning and we cannot wait to see where the future takes the HLFYA VPE!
