Olivia Gismondi, a Young Ambassador for the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation recently organized and hosted a hygiene project drive for her Independent Service Project. In her efforts to support an organization close to her community, Olivia decided to partner with The Interfaith Nutrition Network (The INN) in Hempstead, New York.

The INN is a soup kitchen and volunteer-run organization that offers a wide range of vital services to help people who are struggling with extreme poverty, homelessness, and hunger. One of the main services The INN provides are showers and distribution of toiletries.

To get the word out to family, friends, and those in her town, Olivia created flyers and advertised on social media for people to donate various items such as toothbrushes and paste, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products to be dropped off at her home.

Throughout two weeks, Olivia collected over 2,200 personal hygiene products for The INN! She is extremely grateful and proud for all that donated and contributed to her drive, and is eager to continue to help those in need in the future.
