HLFYA mentor Natalie Kennedy hosts her 2nd Annual Winter Public Skate at Danbury Ice Arena
On January 6, 2018 The Henrik Lundqvist Foundation, through mentor Natalie Kennedy, hosted the 2nd Annual Winter Public Skate at Danbury Ice Arena. The event occurred from 7-9pm. Natalie, a student at Immaculate High School, promoted the event to her classmates as well as to local residents through press releases written to online news sites. She also hung posters throughout the neighborhood. Skaters and fans of Lundqvist came out to support the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Raffle tickets were sold for 11 prizes including signed Lundqvist memorabilia. $1,000 was raised to benefit the Garden of Dreams Foundation, which works to reach children who are facing homelessness, extreme poverty, illness and foster care.
