On Saturday, September 27th, Jackson Bogardus, recently appointed a Young Ambassador for the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation, hosted a unique event at the Riverside Yacht Club’s “A Dock”: “Reel In the Warmth” – Fishing for a Cause.
This event went beyond fishing, transforming into a day dedicated to philanthropy, community engagement, and compassion. To participate, each guest was required to contribute a minimum of 100 pairs of new socks for men, women, and children. These socks will be distributed directly to local shelters, including Inspirica Homeless Shelter in Stamford, Connecticut, and other community outreach organizations.
In total, over 3,000 socks were collected (and additional donations are still being received). Your unwavering generosity has enabled us to provide warmth and comfort to individuals throughout our community.
We express our deepest gratitude to The Henrik Lundqvist Foundation for their unwavering trust and support. We also acknowledge the Riverside Yacht Club for graciously hosting our event. We extend our gratitude to every volunteer, participant, and donor who contributed to the success of this endeavor. Notably, Tyalure Tackle, The Sportsman’s Den, and Bombas generously donated raffle tickets and prizes for the event.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to making a difference. Together, we can keep our community warm and cared for.
