My name is Luke Fischetti and I am a 12th grader at Mepham High School on Long Island and a former ambassador and current alumnus of the HLF.
Growing up in a household of teachers and diehard Rangers fans, as soon as I saw that Henrik wrote a children’s book, I immediately purchased the book and approached my mom to have me in as a mystery reader to her class. After reading the book and learning about his book from Hank’s social media, I thought the message was important to share with elementary school age children. Not to mention, the graphics in this book were some of the best I have ever seen. I was in my mother’s class as a mystery reader and prepared an activity to go along with the book on the importance of setting goals, and how to reach your goals, even when obstacles may stand in your way. The children loved the book and enjoyed the discussion about the book, as well as a discussion about the HLF and what it is all about, and my ongoing role with this special program. I am planning to go back to share this book with the upper grades as well.
