After seeing the poor conditions families live in in parts of Nicaragua, HLFYA Grayson Goldman decided he wanted to help. Grayson raised money for an organization called Love Light Melody (LLM) by selling bracelets made by women who used to live in the trash dumps in Nicaragua. The bracelets were made from plastic trash bags symbolic of getting them out of the trash dumps.
LLM helps support children by giving them an education and also exposing them to art, music and support. They are building a school and helping create a community so that children in these parts of Nicaragua feel supported and are able to grow.
Grayson raised $2400 for Love light and Melody by selling bracelets to hockey players in his community.
