Food Bank For New York City is deeply grateful to the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation for partnering with us to provide healthy, nourishing food to children and families and to bring attention to the child hunger crisis in New York City.
For the current school year, Food Bank is partnering with more than 50 K-12 schools along with colleges and community partners in New York City to operate onsite campus pantries. Thanks to the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation’s support we are providing fresh produce and nutritious shelf-stable foods to children and families participating in campus pantry programming at several of our partner sites.
We are pleased to share the following testimonial from one of our campus pantry partners:
the food provided by Food Bank has helped to narrow the food gap for many families. The resources and general support has been invaluable. On behalf of our community and the families who have been able to take advantage of the wonderful resource, I thank the Food Bank for continuing to provide meals to those most in need.
