Young Ambassador Charlie Raibman wanted to raise money for Be The Match, The National Marrow Donor Program because he has a young cousin who has been in need of a bone marrow transplant since she was born.
Be The Match uses donation money to help provide one-on-one support for patients and families throughout the transplant process, as well as growing the Be The Match registry and connecting patients with donors. They also use legislative advocacy to protect patient access to care and provide education for healthcare professionals.
Charlie created a fundraising page and sent out emails to friends and family asking for their help to raise money. He was able to exceed his goal of $1,000 and raise $1,500!
