On Monday, January 20th, 2020, HLF and JP Morgan Chase hosted a Pass The Puck Volunteer Day with the assistance of NY Cares. The event was held at the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden.
The HLF 2020 Young Ambassador class, HLFYA alumni, Junior Rangers, and JP Morgan Chase employees and clients were in attendance to help assemble care packages of baby materials. These care packages included handmade infant hats, bottles, colorfully decorated bibs, wipes, pacifier rings, baby toys, and other essential supplies for the family. There were about 100 participants that came together to provide supplies for newborn babies and their families at PS12 in Brooklyn, NY. It was a great way for all to honor and spend MLK Day.
HLF Co-Founders Henrik and Therese Lundqvist made a special appearance to assist volunteers in creating and organizing the baby box kits into white tote bags for delivery. The day was capped off with a celebratory skate on the Madison Square Garden ice after a great day of service.
